The Mimozas - Elodie

The best soundtrack for the weekend comes from the newcomer band The Mimozas. Elodie is the name of their second single, which is reminiscent of leather jackets, smoky dance floors and going out until dawn.

The Mimozas- not to be confused with Mimose, the shameful sense plant- come from Bern and make oldschool indie garage rock that brings British flair to the Swiss Alps. The mimosa serves as an image of hope and love, bringing light and good humor into hearts. And it lures you in front of the stages where the four guys play.

Elodie, as already indicated, has the sound of rock 'n' roll. The sound pearl is recorded in an 'I don't really care about anything' attitude, but contains a danceable drive that really makes you want more. Their music combines raw and loud sounds with the savvy and depth of poetics.

In colorful narrative strands and very creative - one would almost say obscure - outfits, the official video for the single tells of the finiteness of life. The introduction is made by a skull, there is also magic, but in the end everyone dies.

Moral of the story? Make the best of life and go dancing.
