Night Talks - Same Time Tomorrow

If you've always wanted to know how disco balls sound when they discreetly throw themselves into rocky pop outfits, the new album 'Same Time Tomorrow' by Night Talks is recommended. Electro pop meets here the possibility to be rock, even if only for the duration of an album. Already recorded at the end of 19 and ready for release, the album got a rest during the lockdown period, which the three musicians used to create fancy video ideas for each song. A special kind of tribute.

You’re screaming when I hold my tongue

The stage is set for synthesizers (long live the 80s) and the crystal clear voice of frontwoman Soraya, who can do golden throat just as well as rock brat. She and the wonderful electric guitar together form a melodious duo on an otherwise very broad and shimmering carpet of sound. The structure of the sound pearls is mostly patterned, but it doesn't detract from the listening experience.

The album of the three-member band could be described as a love story in several acts. We start with a series of cheerful and danceable sound pearls before the second half is dedicated to the heartbreak of this world and relationships. Many a good catchy tune and sing-along chorus is included (e.g. in the single Tell Me or Searching) as well as sounds reminiscent of the senior prom. There are rocking guitar riffs and heartbreak ballads! As if they had put the whole spectrum of a musical into this album.

You dont have be a stranger

Lyrically, the picture is also well-rounded. The single Overcome begins with the timelines: Start from the beginning and ends with Same time tomorrow? Is that enough? Sure, we nod confidently there and let the repeat mode of our favorite streaming service take its course.

Because if the album can do anything, it's bring happy synth pop into the living rooms of this world. For all those who are looking for a little more shine in their playlist and don't know where they hid their disco ball anymore...

Listen and Shine
