Kwoon (feat. Babet)- King Of Sea

The sea is calling. Can you hear it too? Following the song of the sirens, we plunge into the waters of the sea of sound and let ourselves be beguiled by mermaids.

Listen… Listen to the sea - Singing for memories

Kwoon is back. After six years of absence, the band around frontman Sandy Lavallart releases their new single King Of Sea. The new album is scheduled for release at the end of the year. For years they have been creating beautiful pearls of sound, embedding them in visual compositions in special places. How nice that they are back.

One day… One day you called me - I will dive in the dark

It begins with (sound) waves. We can already hear the salt in the air. The place of the action is the lighthouse of Tevennec, in the ocean of Finistere in Brittany. The lighthouse is cursed, says the legend. The fact that it is also called 'Gateway to Hell' because supernatural phenomena regularly occur does not deter Kwoon. On the contrary. Two years ago, Lavallart took the opportunity to record a life session at the lighthouse. However, it is not known whether he sighted mermaids there. In the official single edition, a whole orchestra accompanies the guitar sounds and brings drama and depth to the pearl. Soft siren song in the background does its own to lure us into the boats.

The video also exerts fascination. Stéphane Berla's animated short film enchantingly interprets the yearning for the sea and the terror of deep sea monsters and mermaids. Together with the music, the overall work becomes simply magical. Rating valuable.
