Gone Tomorrow - Barcelona

Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll! Recently also Sea, Drums and Rock 'n' Roll! There must be something to this seaside inspiration. Maybe it's the north wind that blows along the coasts of England or the salt in the air that catapults the rock into the souls and fingers of the bands of the local Seaside towns. Whatever the trigger, one thing is certain: coolness has never been cooler.

Ben Ruddick: Lead Vocal/Rhythm Guitar, Elliott Duncan: Bass/Backing Vocals, Will Boddy: Lead Guitar, Benger Kelly: Keys/Backing vocals, James Smith: Drums

So, now all open your favorite music channel and enter Gone Tomorrow. Our sound pearls collection is extended with the debut single Barcelona of the newcomers. The band hails from Teesside and got together just before the outbreak of the pandemic. The sound seems grown up in a surprising way. The guys take inspiration for their style from The Arctic Monkeys and The 1975, among others, but influences from Catfish and The Bottlemen can also be heard in the portfolio. Success will definitely come, BBC already played their song on local radio and television. Next year the album will follow.

What makes their sound so special is that raw, almost aggressive sound that is paired with a Whatever attitude of youth and dexterity of age. Or dirty garage rock meets honest indie. The special atmosphere rests on passionate vocals, stylish synth elements, drums that know how to tell about the dynamics, a bass that provides the depth of the sea of sound. The calm verse leads into an exploding chorus, later garnished with a spiraling guitar solo.

Barcelona serves the guys as a metaphor for a life full of optimism and hope. Exactly what we can use in this day and age. So off to Barcelona! Or Teesside? No matter, the main thing is to rock. Quickly get out the leather jackets... Listen and Rock
